About The Project
Nestled within a rural context, located in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, this magnificent residence distinguishes itself for the care and refinement of details down to the smallest feature.

There are functional tilt & turn windows and lift & slide doors, opening majestically towards yards and sharing spaces, freeing up the internal and external environments, creating a unique area mixed up with contemporary and historic features.


This project was created with Doorwin 70S tilt & turn windows and 160S lift & slide doors with ALU+ thermal break aluminum systems in the shade of black, highlighting the importance of lighting and accessibility, bringing the right values to it through the presence of large glass.

In this regard, the GBG (grilles between the glass) décor, bring some historic and solemn sentiment to this modern house.


An impressive entrance conveys, since the first impact, the importance and value of the residence we are about to go through: the access door, a large paneled lift & slide, it's instrumental here and takes on a key role. Doors and windows are thus connected with the rest of the house matching its brick and wooden parts, for a perfect harmony of colors and atmospheres.

01 / German Imported Hardware System For windows and doors, hardware is as important as the engine is to the car. The continuous technological innovation of the European hardware industry has strongly promoted the performance improvement and functional innovation of windows and doors. 02 / Grilles-between-the-glass
Divided lite windows and doors offer unique architectural solutions for buildings without compromising energy efficiency or aesthetics. Doorwin provides multiple muntin and glass options to customize your divided lite windows and doors. Further customization is available with a variety of colors and materials, creating an infinite number of design combinations to best suit your style.

In this project, our GBG divided lites are finished in black tones to resemble aluminum windows with a modern attitude. Square-shaped divided lite profiles support this industrial chic look, adding visual framing and delineating large open spaces. These grilles add that special touch to match windows or doors to any architectural style, turning a large open pane into a dramatic statement.

03 / Glazing
With US standards and NFRC certifications, our energy-efficient integrated glazing units (IGU) feature double-pane glass, warm-edge spacers, argon gas fill, Low-E coatings, and fully tempered glass, they can not only create a comfortable and natural indoor environment but also save electricity bills and heating bills around 300~500USD per year according to your whole building's fenestration areas. That's a real bargain compared to choosing a regular glazing set.



04 / Profiles
For this project, we used high-quality thermal break aluminum profiles. Finest extruded aluminum profiles with a thickness of 1.4 mm to provide excellent durability and strength. With a polyamide bar (Polyamide 66, or Nylon 66) PA66 applied in the middle of aluminum profiles to break or insulate the heat and cold, The polyamide we use is from the world-famous brand Technoform Bautec™ . Thermal breaks have decreased aluminum frame U-factors (heat loss rate) from roughly 2.0 to about 1.0 Btu/hr-sq. ft-°F. In hot climates. Our thermal break aluminum is more than 1.4 mm in thickness, Doorwin's exclusive thermal break aluminum profiles perform much better than standard aluminum in both insulation and strength. 

Doorwin offers over 250 RAL color options for the aluminum surface, including smooth finishing and matte finishing.


05 / Free Design Assistance
With our own expertise, we provided the no-cost design development and contract documentation with CAD & BIM drawings, including elevation, details about the project, and installation help.

Before production, we will provide accurate sample drawings, which will clearly show the cross-sectional pattern, size, opening method and direction, pattern of the warm spacer, and the installation nodes. We will not go into production until you have signed off on the drawing to ensure that you receive a final product that meets the exact requirements of your project.
