Located in the luxury community of Beverly Hills, LA, this project showed a set of mimic historic windows made of contemporary aluminum-clad teak wood materials. These windows are restored to the original building appearance and with modern energy efficiency performance. With a historic window design heritage and the ability to bring completely unobstructed views to your home.
This house's renovation was the homeowners' dream for a long time. Built mainly with stone, it is enriched with wooden and metal elements, giving the feeling the house is composed of different structures. Due to the dimensions, the first requirement was to open the house to daylight, installing massive windows and doors around the house to get a good sunbath atmosphere.
The main reason for this is that, in many cases, the old fenestration was outdated and lacked energy efficiency. This can be a major problem for older buildings that have been neglected or poorly maintained over time.
Doorwin restores these windows to their original building appearance while also making indoors more comfortable and energy efficient. In doing so, we are helping to preserve the historic character of our buildings while also creating a more comfortable environment for people to live in. Depending on the use case, we use different products.
For example, at the entrance, we use our French doors with an Alu-clad wood exterior. These doors offer high energy efficiency and have a stylish design that gives this home a historical look. |

These windows can be used on any home - from Victorian houses to modern condos - and also feature an energy-efficient function that will help reduce your energy bills.
To maximize the amount of natural light and air indoors while having the best insulations, we adopted our thermal break aluminum tilt & turn windows. These windows provide alternative ventilation methods so that you can enjoy maximum comfort no matter what time of year it is |
Our windows and doors meet the state-of-the-art technology and standards that allow them to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. They are made with high-quality wood and aluminum profiles that will last for years without needing repairs or replacement parts. With metal brackets, the windows fit perfectly in existing openings and with easy installation.
The new fenestration system looks very elegant and luxurious. Our customer is very happy with this project because we offered one-of-a-kind retro windows and doors that will not only increase your home's value but also save you money on energy costs.
If you're looking for a timeless and elegant window that will let ample natural light and fresh air into your home, then a French window could be a great option. With an ancient heritage and a wonderful ability to bring completely unobstructed views to your home. Doorwin's French windows are more resistant to blustery weather while maintaining functions like airtightness, alternative ventilation way, and accessibility; As for the cost, a regular wood casement window average costs 400-800$ in the US market while our French windows just need 300-550$ with higher standards in manufacturing, hardware, and energy efficiency abilities.
01 / Energy Efficient Materials & Color Options
We are into the field of windows and doors for years; our professional manufacturing process and delicate workmanship make our solid wood and alu-clad wood windows and doors recognized by many clients. We are able to provide many qualified wood types, such as pine, oak, cherry, larch, maple, mahogany, teak, etc. We apply German environmentally friendly water-based paint to meet the need of health while remains the vivid texture of the wood. For wood species, we carefully select the quality woods from their origin places. Our oak and pine are from USA or Canada, teak is from Southeast Asia.
For this project, we provided alu-clad red oak as the main material for the windows. As we all know, solid wood is the most energy-efficient material, which is exactly what the customer wants. From a thermal point of view, wood-framed windows perform well with frame U-factors in the range of 0.3 to 0.5 Btu/hr-sq. ft-°F. But the disadvantages are also obvious, solid wood is more prone to damage and corrosion, requiring higher maintenance costs, so we clad the exterior face of the frame with either vinyl or aluminum, creating a permanent weather-resistant surface. Doorwin energy-efficient integrated glazing units feature double-pane glass, warm-edge spacers, argon gas fill, Low-E coatings, and fully tempered glass, they can not only create a comfortable and natural indoor environment but also save electricity bills and heating bills of more than 100 USD for the owner, it's a real bargain compared to choosing a regular glazing set.
Not only black and white, but we also provide polyester powder coated 250+ RAL colors (with extra metallic and polished effects) to meet your infinite possibilities in custom design. If you prefer, you can even send us a color card and we will paint the windows exactly the way you want them to be.
For color options, the client wants to add white windows for a timeless look and to meet overall interior decorations, however, if it is painted white on the exterior window frame and sash, the painting cannot withstand the long years of aging and will increase the maintenance cost. So, we provided a solution with double colors. black exterior frames and white interior frames.
02 / Custom Grilles and Divided Lites
Divided lite windows and doors offer unique architectural solutions for historic buildings without compromising energy efficiency or aesthetics. Doorwin provides multiple muntin and glass options to customize your divided lite windows and doors. Further customization is available with a variety of colors and materials, creating an infinite number of design combinations to best suit your style. Including grilles between the glass, simulated divided lites, and true divided lites.
In this project, the SDLS (Simulated Divided Lites with Spacer Bars) décor, added a more historic and solemn sentiment to this modern house. They have become an energy-efficient part of the house when dealing with a classic design from past buildings. Square-shaped divided lite profiles added that special touch to match windows to the historic architectural style, turning a large open pane into a dramatic statement. |

Arched doors are compatible with large country houses, period cottages, stately homes, churches, hotels, and even dining establishments. Arch creates a wonderful feature at the entry and exterior windows. It sets a scene of good taste which can easily show off when people get by the first time. |
04 / German Imported Hardware System
For windows and doors, hardware is as important as the engine is to the car. The continuous technological innovation of the European hardware industry has strongly promoted the performance improvement and functional innovation of windows and doors. In this project, Doorwin uses Hoppe™ multi-point locks, hinges, and handles from Germany.
Multi-point lock systems provide burglar resistance and a tighter compression seam, making the window keep good energy-efficient performance. Together with Technoform Bautec's insulation edge bond and sealant strips, these make up our products' top insulation and energy-saving performance. |

05 / Packaging and Delivery
We export tens of millions of dollars of windows and doors to the U.S. every year, and we know that improper packaging can cause breakage of the product when it arrives on site, and the biggest loss from this is, I'm afraid, the cost of time, after all, workers on site have requirements of working time and it needs to wait for a new shipment to arrive in case of damage occurs to the goods. So, we pack each window individually and in four layers, and finally into (non-fumigated) wooden boxes, and at the same time, there will be a lot of shockproof measures in the container, to protect your products. We are very experienced in how to pack and protect our products to ensure they arrive at the sites in good condition after long-distance transportation.
Not only did we have a great time at the show, but in the next two months, our experts will be traveling throughout the United States to do site visits and full technical guidance service for our customers. If you were not able to attend the show but are still interested in our products, feel free to contact us and our experts will still be able to provide on-site services. There are more offers waiting for you, so come and contact us!
